Funeral services are set for 3 p.m. Sunday, April 18, in Cuthand United Methodist Church with Rev Don Shovan officiating. Burial with military honors by the U.S. Marine Corps is to be in Cuthand Cemetery under direction of Wood Funeral Home.
The family receives friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the church.
He was born May 28, 1950, in Deport, the son of Charles Morton and Lucille Carr Morton. He was a Marine Corps veteran and worked for Brushy Creek Farms for 16 years.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; and his mother, Lucille Griffin and husband, Ross, all of Bogata; his children, Jason, Chelsea and Colby Morton, and Justin and Jessica Carr, all of Mabank, and Stephani, Alicia and Chris Coggins, all of Bogata; 14 grandchildren; a brother, Dickie Morton of Hamburg, Ark.; and a sister, Debbie Ritchey of Paris.
