Yvonne Adams, 68 of Charlotte -- Mrs. Adams passed away, Monday, February 9, 2009 in Charlotte. She was born in Union County on August 29, 1940 to the late Harold Dewey Yandle and the late Margie Helms Yandle. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carol Adams and former husband Joel Reid Hill, and son Jeffrey Hill. After many years with her family in California, Mrs. Adams lived most of her life in Charlotte. She was an employee of Rexham Corporation for a number of years and later handled the book keeping for her sister at JTA Talent. Her favorite place to spend time was on the coast of North Carolina in her home on Oak Island where she lived a vibrant life enjoying long walks on the beach. She also cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. Mrs. Adams, who was affectionately called "Tootsie" by those closest to her, had a wonderful wit and engaging smile. Her humor was infectious and appreciated by all who knew her. She will truly be missed. Survivors include her daughter, Donna Hill-Bessett and husband, William Bessett; her two sons, Myron Hill and wife, Teresa Hill, and Damon Hill; three grand-children, Adam Purser, Joshua Purser, and Tyler Hill; two great grandchildren, Ryleigh Lynn Purser and Rodger Dylan Purser; and two sisters, Janice O'Neill and husband, Joseph O'Neill, and Barbara Yandle Memorial Services will be held at Heritage Funeral, Indian Trail Chapel on Sunday, February 15, 2009 at 2PM, visitation will begin at 1:00PM. Memorials may be made to the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 2423, P.O. Box 535, Indian Trail, NC 28079. Heritage Funeral Home and Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Adams.
