With his parents at age 7, was forced to leave Boston by British Troops for sympathizing with Colonial Army, shortly after the battle of Bunker Hill fought in 1775. He went to Worcester, MA after leaving Boston.
Mr. Blake spent his early days in Worchester, and attended Dr. Payson's celebrated school, "from which he graduated with the highest honors of his class." He practised as a physician for a short time in Petersham, (Mass?), and in 1799 settled in Farmington Falls, Maine. He is said to have been a ripe scholar, and possessed those strong virtues acquired during the troublous times in which his early life was spent." (History of Farmington, Me.)

Children: Nine or Ten, all born in Farmington, Me.

Died: Age 81 yr. 28 dy.
