Francis E. Manbeck, Jr., 63, 322 Green Mountain Rd., Ringtown, died Monday at the Pottsville Hospital. Born in Frackville he was the son of the late Francis and Ada (Hart) Manbeck. He was of the protestant faith. He lived in Frackville all of his life where he owned and operated the Lehigh Restaurant for 30 years. He attended West Mahanoy Township Schools. Surviving are his wife Nancy (Subacz) Manbeck, Ringtown; son, William Manbeck and daughter, Debbie Dougherty, both of Frackville; stepchildren: Susan Stevens, South Carolina, James Dougherty, Schuylkill Haven, Peter Dougherty, Schuylkill Haven, Nancy Dougherty, Harrisburg, Kathy Strouse, Ashland, Patty Dougherty, Texas and Kevin Dougherty, Auburn; 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive. Funeral service will be held Thursday, 11 a.m., from the Stauffer-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ringtown. Interment in Saint Johns Lutheran Cemetery, Ringtown. Visitation is Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, 10 a.m. until time of funeral at the Stauffer-Heizenroth Funeral. Standard-Speaker (Hazleton, PA) - Wednesday, January 17, 2001
