Funeral services for Zelpha Jewel Morris, 84, West Plains, will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, January 21, 2010, in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Mrs. Morris died at 3:45 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, in West Vue Nursing Center. She was born April 16, 1925, at Vanzant, Mo., to Floyd Monroe and Alice Lee Roper Price. On Jan. 9, 1944, she was married at West Plains, Mo., to Wyley Harold Morris, who preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 1985. Mrs. Morris was a former member of the West Plains Artist Guild and enjoyed quilting, crocheting and spending time in her garden. Mrs. Morris was of the Assembly of God faith. She is survived by her son, Stephen Morris, wife, Sandra, of West Plains; three grandchildren, John A. Morris of Branson, Mo., Stephanie S. Hensley, husband, Stacy, of West Plains and David H. Morris, wife, Tera, of Nixa, Mo.; four great-grandchildren, Allen Riley, Kendall Riley, Emily Morris and Adam Morris; two sisters, Ann Shelley of West Plains and Janice Miller of Springfield, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews. Her parents; husband; one sister-in-law, Clela Shelley; and two brothers-in-law, Raymond Miller and Paul Shelley, precede her in death. Mrs. Morris will lie in state from 5 p.m., Wednesday until service time at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald House and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
