Raymond L. Slusser, 76, died Tuesday evening at 6:40 o'clock at his home, Gardners R. 2. He had been in failing health for a number of years.
A son of the late Charles F. and Cora A. (Starner) Slusser, he was a carpenter, and was a veteran of World War I, having served in the Supply Co. of the 56th Infantry.
He was a member of the Newville American Legion post, the Shippensburg VFW post, the Shippensburg Barracks of World War I Veterans and the Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Goodyear.
Surviving are his wife, the former Blanche M. Routzahn; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Kennedy, Camp Hill; a granddaughter, Shirley Kennedy, Camp Hill; a swter, Miss Grace E. Slusser, Gardners R. 2, and three brothers, Roy G. Slusser, Gardners R. 2; Denzil W. Slusser, Goodyear, and Vernon C. Slusser, Mt. Holly Springs Mounted Route.
Funeral services Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Dugan Funeral Home, Bendersville, with the Rev. Douglas Y. Boden officiating.
Interment in the Goodyear Cemetery.
