Pvt. John Turner was the husband of Sarah (Abbott) Turner (1831-1915). John and Sarah were married about 1852 and had six children together. John was a Private in Co. F, 118th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. He was captured at Weldon Railroad, Virginia on August 21, 1864 and sent to Andersonville Prison where he died of disease on August 25, 1864.
