Major (Ret.) William T. Robinson ,84, Route 2, Ellaville, died Sunday, January 23, in Martin Army Community Hospital in Fort Benning.

Mr. Robinson was born November 6, 1898 in Schley County and was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carlton F. Robinson. He joined the US Air Force in 1920, served thirty years and retired with the rank of Major. He lived in San Antonio, Texas many years before returning to Schley Count about six months ago. He was a Methodist and a Mason.

Funeral services were held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Giddens Funeral Home with Air Force Chaplain Michael E. James officiating. Burial was in the Andersonville National Historic Site with full military honors. Masonic rites were also conducted at the graveside.

Survivors include his wife, the former Bernice Ainsworth, Route 2, Ellaville; a sister Mrs. Lillie Johnson, Route 1, Ellaville; also nieces, nephews and cousins.

Air Force personnel served as pallbearers.

Giddens Funeral Home of Ellaville was in charge of arrangements.
