Born in Akron to Homer and Ferrell SCHINDLER SANER, he married Kay D. KARNS June 6, 1954 in Rochester. She survives.
Mr. Saner, an Akron and Rochester area resident most of his life, came to Lafayette in January from Indianapolis. A 1946 Akron High School graduate, he was a self-employed refrigeration and heating ventilation and air conditioning contractor over 30 years and former owner of Commercial Refrigeration, Rochester. He enjoyed fishing. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Surviving with his wife, at home, are one daughter, Roberta COMBS and husband John, Indianapolis; four brothers, Loyd, Ray and Charles SANER, all of Akron, and Fred SANER, Silver Lake; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Indiana Veterans Home Cemetery Chapel, West Lafayette. Burial is at Indiana Veterans Home Cemetery, West Lafayette. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the home chapel. Memorials may be made to Indiana Veterans Home, 3851 N. River Road, West Lafayette, IN 47906
