Mrs. Wright died on Sunday, August 2, 1998, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
She was born on Nov. 18, 1926, in Overton County to the late Joe Davis and Nancy
Copeland Brown.
Mrs. Wright was an licensed practical nurse for a home health agency and was a
member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Cookeville.
Her family includes two sons, Nathan Smith of Nashville and Michael Smith of
Cookeville; a daughter, Caroline Selby of Cookeville; a brother, Ray Brown of
Nashville; five sisters, Beulah Jones of Nashville, Dimple Beasley of Rickman,
Cordia Norrod of Alpine, Dean Friedrich of Smyrna, and Loucille Hibbard of Battle
Creek, Mich.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Wright.
