Mrs. Sorrell was born Oct. 8, 1926, in Lanett, the daughter of Alma Owings Knight and C.L. Knight. She had been a resident of the Care Center of Opelika for the past eight years. She was a former employee of West Point Pepperell, with 14 years of service, and then worked for 18 years with Intestate Telephone Company. She was a member of Community Chapel Church of God and was a past-president of the Pilot Club of West Point and a member of the Valley Chapter of National Secretaries Association.
