OBITUARY
Evelyn J. Smith Evelyn Bodrero Steffenhagen Smith left her loving family at her home on April 8, 2010. Evelyn was born March 2, 1921, in Logan to Jeffery M. and Louise Bodrero. She was the tenth child in a family of ten.

Evelyn graduated from Logan High School and attended USU for a short period of time. In 1941 she married Byron Steffenhagen. They had three children together: Karen (Rees) Richards, Brigham City, Robert (Carol) Steffenhagen, Logan, and Scott (Georgia) Steffenhagen, Hyde Park.

Evelyn worked as a telephone operator and then later as a receptionist at the Budge Clinic for 17 years. Byron passed away in 1972. She later married Morris J. Smith. Morris and Evelyn spent 15 winters in Mesa, Arizona, where they made many friends from all over the United States and Canada.

While in Arizona, Mom was very active in a variety of fitness programs and enjoyed creating beautiful ceramic items for her family. Morris passed away in 1994. Mom loved to work in her flowers and beautiful yard. She enjoyed traveling and had seen much of the USA and several foreign countries. One of her travel highlights was a month long trip to Europe with her cousin Norma Gudmunson.

Evelyn was an active member of the LDS Church and enjoyed the association with her ward members. She is well known for having a beautiful home and her immaculate homemaking skills. Mom loved her home in a senior residential neighborhood where she enjoyed the friendship of her many caring neighbors.

Mom has 9 grandchildren including one grandson, Darin Richards who returned to his Father in Heaven in 1984, and 17 great-grandchildren.

Her loving family wants to express their love and appreciation to her for being such a wonderful Mom and Grandma. We love you Mom and look forward to embracing you again.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 13, at 1 :00 p.m. at the Willow Valley Ward Church, 825 North 200 West, Logan. A viewing will be held from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Friends may call at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center in Logan on Monday, April 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Logan City Cemetery.
