Harold Walter "Bill" Thornhill, 64, of Rossburg, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Iola Mohr (1923-1969), at Tipp City, at 2:30 a.m. today.
Mr. Thornhill was employed for more than 39 years as a mechanic at the W.T. Smith garage in Rossburg.
Besides his daughter, he leaves three sons, Nelson Walter Thornhill (1916-1995) and George Kenneth Thornhill (1918-2009) of Rossburg, and Paul Leroy Thornhill (1920-1995) of Washington, D.C.; eleven grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Flossie Niles of Greenville; and a brother, Cletus Thornhill of Rossburg.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hiestand EUB church, with the Reverend Noble Schlechty officiating. Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Ansonia until noon Saturday, and then at the church until the time of services.
