Funeral service for Elias Russell Cocheran, 84, of Amber, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2006 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.

Elias Russell Cocheran was born July 28, 1922 in Verden, Oklahoma the son of Allie and Elva (Caldwell) Cocheran and died August 20, 2006 in Chickasha.

He lived in the Chickasha area all of his life. He and Margaret Sullivan were married May 3, 1943 in Verden, Ok. She preceded him in death May of 2002. Mr. Cocheran served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked for American Dusting Company and later years worked as a farmer.

He was also preceded in death by: Parents; Grandson: Terry Joe Cocheran; two sisters: Esther Drewry and Frances Kubik.

Survivors include: 2 sons and their wives: Russell and Debbie Cocheran; Joe and Charlotte Cocheran; 2 sisters: Alice Farley; Dorothy Hill; 6 grandchildren: Tony Russell Cocheran, Christina Landrum, Kim Lanoue, Brad Cocheran, Heather Ford, Rhonda Wilmeth; 8 great-grandchildren: Shalyne Sanders, Bradyne Sanders, Hunter Ford, Kyle Ford, Bri'elle Cocheran, Taylynn Cocheran, Connor Lanoue, Zashri Cocheran; Special friends: Chrisellen Mullins, April Pritchard and Terri Cope, Charles Giles.

Interment will be in the Pocasset Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. Family visitation will be held from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Sevier Funeral Home.
