Graveside service for Berwick Army veteran
Harold L. Eveland Jr., 66, formerly of Berwick, died Monday, April 12, 2010, at the Orangeville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by his family and his extended family from the Orangeville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Born Oct. 17, 1943, he was a son of the late Harold L. and Frances (Trapane) Eveland.
Mr. Eveland was educated in the Berwick school system, where he graduated from the Berwick Area Senior High School in 1963. Following graduation, he went on to serve in the United States Army on March 17, 1964, as an SP4 being discharged on March 16, 1970.
He was a former member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Berwick.
Harold is survived by two daughters: Justine and her husband, Tom Klimovich, of Berwick; Shawn and her husband, Scott Gulliver, of Wapwallopen; one brother, Joseph Eveland, and his wife, Shelly, of Danville; one sister, Wanda, and her husband, Tom Bafile, of Montoursville; four grandchildren: Kali, Kyra, Terry and Patrik; and one great-grandchild, Emma.
A graveside service will be Friday, April 16, 2010, at 11 a.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery, Walnut Street, Berwick. At the request of the deceased, there will not be a visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mayo Funeral Home Inc., Berwick.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O. Box 4527, New York, NY 10163.
