Virginia M. Frick, 89, of Elgin, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2000 in Knoxville, TN.
She was born August 24, 1911 in Elgin, the daughter of Frederick and Lucy Robbins. Resident of Elgin all her life and was a school teacher with School District U-46 for many years before retiring. She was active with Jayne Shover Easter Seal Center and very active with Judson College and a volunteer at the Elgin Mental Health Center. Member of First Baptist Church of Elgin.
She is survived by three cousins, Frank (Carolyn) Huber of Knoxville, TN, Michael (Penney) Huber of Corpus Christie, TX and Elizabeth (Dale) Geske of McHenry, IL; three nieces, Carol (Dennis) Dwyer of Algonquin, IL, Sandra Boyce of Cloquet, MN and Judith (John) Nelson of Williams Bay, WI; a brother-in-law, Donald (Mary) Moss of Dundee, IL; and several grand nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eldred in 1982; and two sisters, Elizabeth Robbins and Marjorie Lindberg.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:30 AM in the Laird Funeral Home in Elgin. Rev. Mike Frantz officiating. Interment Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin. Visitation in the Laird Funeral Home in Elgin on Friday from 6-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Jayne Shover Easter Seal Center.
