Ruth, daughter of the late Joseph and Nellie (Ferry) Chappel, first married John Ivers "Jack" Parker on 9 Oct 1928 at St. Patrick Church in Monson, MA.
They lived and worked in Greenwich, CT and Springfield, MA and had the following children:

Three boys (still living)

Because of Jack's drinking and physical abuse, Ruth separated from him in 1936 and a divorce was finalized in 1940. During that period Ruth raised the three boys on her own by working as a restaurant waitress.
Ruth married 2nd: Frank Charles Wolfram on 12 Jun 1940 in Monson, MA.
Ruth and Frank resided in Longmeadow, MA and had the following child:

One girl (still living)

After Frank's death in 1950, Ruth managed a food concession at the "Red Lion" Cafe in Springfield, and later until her retirement, was employed by the Town of Longmeadow as a cook and manager for the Town's High School cafeteria.
During the last years of her life, ill health caused her move to Westfield, MA to reside with her daughter. She died at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
