Augusta GA - George Tillman Key, 43, whom illness had kept absent from the Augusta police force for the past six months after seven years’ service, died this morning at hs home, 1914 Starnes street. Mr. Key was a member of J.O.U.A.M. Council No. 29. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Mills Key; one stepson, Joe Cawley [Sic. Corley]; seven daughters, Mrs. J. R. Smallwood, Mrs. Opal Shaw. Mrs. J. M. Streets, Mrs. O. L. Bethune, Misses Gladys, Mabel, and Lois Key, all of Augusta; three brothers, Howard Key, Langley SC, Horace Key, Aiken SC, and Julian Key, US Navy; one sister, Mrs. Dora Boyd, Aiken, and one grandson, Jerry Streets, Augusta.
