OBITUARY :
HOWARD E. SCHWINGER, 62, 22 S. Broad St., died Thursday at the Waynesboro Hospital. He had been in failing health since October.

Born near Pen Mar, he was the son of C. Oscar and Minnie F. Ott Schwinger. During World War II he served with the U.S. Army in the European Theater. He had been employed as a machinist and mechanic at the Waynesboro Knitting Company all his active life.

Mr. Schwinger was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Joe Stickell Post American Legion. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Hagerstown:

In addition to his widow, Mrs. Kathryn Marie Wishard Schwinger, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Howard C. Hutton, Waynesboro; son, Ronald L. Schwinger, Waynesboro; two grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Lulu Ridge and Mrs. Florence Gardenhour, both of Waynesboro; brother, Clyde P. Schwinger, Waynesboro, Rt. 4.

Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Grove Funeral Home, Waynesboro, with the Pastor Glenn I. Stall officiating, burial in Green Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.

It is requested that flowers omitted and memorial donations may be made to the Evangelical Lutheran Church Building Fund, Waynesboro.
