ELIZABETH E BROCKWAY BATES--63: died yesterday [8-28] at the home of her sis: Beryl Floch, after being ill for over a year with a heart ailment. She was born 21 Jun 1889 in Jamestown, a dau of Wendell & Diantha Lenin-ger Brockway & was a lifelong resident of this community. She was married in 1905 to Fred Bates, he died in 1926. Mrs Bates was a member of StateLine Methodist Church.
Surviving are grandson: Robert Free-Rome OH; 1 gr granddau & 2 sis: MrsFloch & MrsBernice Bates-Dorset OH. A son Frederick & dau Mabel Carkhuff preceded her in death.
