MEMORIAL FROM THE PRAIRIE GROVE BAPTIST CHURCH RECORDS

Mollie Othella Green

Sister Mollie Ottella Green was born January 5, 1869. She was married to Kale Green September 27, 1879. He preceded her in death many years ago. To this union were born twelve children eleven of whom are living, Ben, Ike, and Mrs. Martha Young all of Frost, Sam and Charles of Emmett, Tom of Redbud, Mrs. Sudell Webb of Corsicana, Mrs. Anna Hollaway Corsicana, Mrs. Alice Strickland, Dallas and Mrs. Clara Toten, Dawson.

Sister Green professed faith in Christ at an early age probably about fourteen years of age and united with the Missionary Baptist Church. Sister Green departed this life December 30,1943. She was laid to rest January 1, in the Emmett Cemetery.

She had a wonderful faith in God and said in her affliction that Jesus was coming to take her home. She loved her church, home and children. Her great desire that all her children meet her in Heaven.

Great are the memories of a good Christian woman like Sister Green who has gone to be with our Savior to await the morning of the Resurrection. We recommend a copy be spread on church records, a copy be sent to the family and a copy be sent to the Baptist Progress.
