Born October 12 1978 to Rodney and Sherry Somerville and younger brother to Charity Somerville with Chad coming a few years later. Ryan was living his dream to go to school to become a pilot and his family and friends are proud that he had acheived that goal before his tragic death on his 19th birthday October 12 1997. Ryan was Validictorian of his graduating class in 1997 and followed his first year of college at Indiana State to pursue aviation. He was a smart, charasmatic young man with great potential and loved by many. He knew how to put a smile on anyone's face and loved to have a good time. Ryan was an occomplished basketball player throughout his young life and enjoyed the game greatly. He was my first brother (sibling) and because of that we will always have a special bond. It's been 15 years ago today that we lost him and I still get to hear stories and expressions of love and rememberence from not only our family but especially his friends. I know he was a great role model for Chad and a dearly missed older brother to him. At the time of his death Ryan was in a relationship with a young lsdy that we all loved and is still like a member of our family. His life was cut too short but loved forever.
