Mother Emily Bell Curvey and Father Van Austin Curvey.He was the third of eight children born on the Clark farm on the Pedro Creek between Augusta and Germany Texas. In 1921 he purchased land in Augusta from Matthew Austin which was apart of the Carey Jenkins home estate to raise his family.
He married Ella Reed Curvey and had ten children: Lillie Curvey Davis Knox, Caldona Curvey (died at 2 year old), McKinnley Curvey, Willie Curvey (Married Winnie Bonner),Pennington Curvey (married Mallie Hatch), Viola Curvey Singletary Ford Cummings Luster, B. Cleatchia Curvey Henry, Fannie Curvey Simpson, Napoleon Curvey married two times last WIlma Branch, and Ethel Curvey who died at 2 years old.
He later married Mary Harvey who preceded him in death and Odeia Smith.
He lived his entire life in Augusta, Texas. He was paptised and was a deacon in Brewington Baptist Church. Jenkins Chapel Christian Church was located on his personal property.
He had seven siblings: Thomas Curvey, Wiley(Bud) Curvey, Arvella(Vella) Curvey, Lum who spelled his last name Curvay, Lubell Curvey, Roxie (Tisha) Curvey and Arthur (Bunk) Curvey.
Thomas Married Ellen Allen and later Carrie, Bud who died young married Emma Davis, Vella Married Neal Walker, Lum married Nicy Dancer and later Flossie White, Lubell married Albert Eden, Tisha married Me. Odom. Arthur moved to Oklahoma and married.
