She was born August 13, 1932 in Stephenville, Tx.
She is survived by her husband; Don, Son; Larry (Anna) Smith of Elsa, Daughters; Lydia (A.Y.) Wiley of Stockdale, Tx. Dawn (Mark) Goldammer of Elsa. 13 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grand children. Many nephews and nieces.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Jenny Durbin (Ricky) of Elsa.
Joy along with her husband Don owned and operated D & J Site Construction Inc. for over 35 years. Joy enjoyed gardening and reading. Joy will be truly missed by all her many friends and family.
Visitation will take place today, Monday, April 12, 2010 from 5:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 7:00 pm to 8:30 p.m at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Bridge Street Church of Christ in Weslaco.
Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
The family has asked in Lieu of Flowers donations can be made the St. Matthews Episcopal School Endowment Fund. The address is 2620 Crestview, Edinburg, Tx 78539.
