Minnie Pearl James Haigood was the daughter of Sarah Elizabeth Williams and Lawrence Cleaver James. She married Joseph Gordis Haigood August 27, 1903 in Clarksville, TX

Minnie Pearl Haigood was born July 20, 1886, in Paris, Texas, and passed away in the Roger Mills Memorial Hospital Friday morning, Nov. 3, 1978, after and extended illness at the age of 92 years 3 months 14 days.
August 27, 1903 she married Joseph Gordis Haigood near Clarksville, Texas, then in 1905 they moved to Roger Mills County and bought a relinquish claim three miles south of Cheyenne. They lived southeast of Cheyenne until the goverment cleared the claim, then they built their half dugout on their farm where she lived until moving to Cheyenne to make her home. For the past 4 years she has been in the Cheyenne Convalescent Home due to ill health.
She has been a member of the First Baptist Church for about 50 years.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband in 1959 and 1 daughter, 1 son and 3 brothers.
Survivors are 2 daughters, Erma Loughlin, Oklahoma City and Ruby Ellen Maxon, Edmond; 3 sons, Clarence Haigood, San Angelo, Texas. Alva Haigood, Pampa, Texas and Wallace Haigood, Amarillo, texas; 13 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Bertha Hutchins, Yuba City, Calif., Lou Smith, Yuma, Arizona and a host of other relatives and friends.
Interment in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, OK

CHEYENNE - Funeral services for Minnie Pearl Haigood, 92, who died Friday, will be at 2:300 p.. Sunday in the Cheyenne First Baptis Church. Burial will be in the Cheyenne Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel of Cheyenne.
