Anna May (Slease) Eckman, 80, of Ford City RD2, died at 12:17 a.m. Friday, Jan. 8, 1982, at the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past two days.
Born Feb. 21, 1901 in Valley Twp., she was a daughter of the late Julius and Maude (Adams) McElwain.
She lived most of her life in the Dayton and Cowansville areas and was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl H. Slease, who died Sept. 15. 1961; her second husband, Blair J. Eckman, who died Dec. 9. 1969; two brothers and one sister.
Surviving her are one son, George F. Slease of Dayton; one daughter, Mrs. Emma Maxine Wolfe of Ford City RD2; one brother, Earl McElwain of Kittanning RD2; one sister, Mrs. Ellen Ucciardo of McGrann; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bauer Funeral Home in Kittanning, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. George hall, pastor of the Mt. Union Reform Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Salem United Church of Christ Cemetery.
The family request that contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
