Born 12 Dec 1880 in Bavaria, Kansas. Lived in Saline County, Kansas his entire life. Worked as a farmer and a machinist for an ice company. Married Olive Addie Richards on 10 Apr 1901. Not sure of the location, but probably Saline County, KS. They had 8 children: Orville Sedgewick, Vernon, Willard, Eula, Vera, Evelyn, Anna May, and Iva. Olive died at the age of 32. About 5 1/2 years later, Sed remarried his wife's sister-in-law, Ida, whose husband died two years after Olive. Sed and Olive's youngest kids were then farmed out to relatives. Evelyn was raised by her aunt Anna and uncle Ben Veltman. Willard was raised near Falun, KS by his uncle, N. Wesley Richards, who had 7 kids of his own. Sed died on 2 Feb 1958 in Salina, Kansas.
