Obituary: July 1990

Norman Tennyson Wyrick, 83, of Tuscumbia died Thursday, July 5, 1990 at Charles E. Still Hospital in Jefferson City. He had been a resident of the Miller County Nursing Home for a few months.

He was born July 10, 1906, in Miller County to George and Ella Jonson Wyrick. On April 24, 1937, he was married in Versailles to Amy Birdsong, who died Dec 24, 1976. Mr. Wyrick was a retired farmer and a lifetime resident of the Tuscumbia area.

Surviving him are a son, Jerry Wyrick of Belton; four grandchildren, Theresa Gray of Wichita, Kan., Mike Wyrick of Cedar Rapids, Kevin Wyrick of Grandview and Tina Wyrick of Harrisonville; and eight great-grandchildren. A son, Jack, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Mt. Zion Christian Church with Br. Floyd Barlow and Bro. Gene Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home in Iberia.
