William Perry Massey was born Aug 31, 1849 in Monroe County, Alabama and died April 23, 1934, at home. He was a Congregational Methodist Minsiter and preached and lived behind the Green Valley Independent Congregational Methodist Church for many years. William and his wife, Eliza Ann Ryan, had a very large family, twelve children with two sets of twins. William Perry was also a traveling preacher--on horseback.
