A.Peggy Croyle, 96, formerly of Ford City, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, in ACMH Hospital, East Franklin Township. She was born Nov. 2, 1917, in McGrann, a daughter of the late Alvin G. and Anna (Cook) Weeter.
Peggy was a member of Ford Memorial United Methodist Church, Ford City, and the Armstrong County Historical Society. Surviving are two sons, Larry E. Croyle, of Mt. Holly Springs, and L. Clayton Croyle, of Ford City; two nieces, Melinda Kaufman, of East Brady, and Melissa Krantz, of Florida; three great-nieces, Susan L. Schmeider, Sharon J. Wyant and Elizabeth Gradwell; and one nephew, Earl E. Dilley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, W. Ellis Croyle, who died July 13, 1984; three sisters, Elizabeth Gaiser, Marybel Hepler and LeAna House; and one brother, Camden Weeter.
Friends will be welcomed from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, in the WELCH FUNERAL HOME, 1032 4th Ave., Ford City. A private funeral service will be held Friday with the Rev. Thom Bonomo officiating.
Interment will follow in Ford City Cemetery, Manor Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
