DEATH OF MRS. SARAH TAYLOR

Elsewhere in this issue of THE STANDARD will be found a notice of the death of Ms. Sarah S. Taylor, at Clarksburg.

The following notice has been handed in since the first notice was printed.

Sarah Sellers Elder was born on a farm near Greensburg, June 20, 1836. She was married to Arthur D. Taylor, March 4, 1856. To this union were born five children, three of whom survive -- Mrs. W.E. Tarplee and Mrs. L.M. Walters, of Clarksburg, and Mrs. Lizzie Davis, of Colorado.

She united with the Christian church at Greensburg at the age of nineteen. She afterwards removed her membership to Clarksburg, where she remained a faithful member until her death, which occurred at the home of Mrs. Tarplee, May 9, 1908.

Besides the daughters, she leaves thirteen grand children, one great-grand-child, two brothers, Clay and Marshall Elder, and two sisters, Mrs. John Griffey and Mrs. Rena Hamilton.

Rev. Walter Stairs preached the funeral discourse in the Christian church at Clarksburg, Monday afternoon.
