    Earl A. "Slugger" Hauge
Age 76. Sebring, FL and formerly Morris, IL. Passed away Friday, November 3, 2000 at Lake Placid Healthcare Center in Lake Placid, FL. Born June 30, 1924 in Morris, IL. Son of Irma Hauge Delaney. Graduate of Morris High School with the class of 1942. Served in the US Army during WWII in the European Theater of Operations.
    Married Margaret L. Kay on June 26, 1948 at First Presbyterian Church in Morris, IL.
    He served as Business Agent and President of Laborers Local #288 in Westmont, IL, also served on the District Council and with the International Laborers Union. During this period he attended courses at Harvard School of Business.
    He was an avid golfer and former member of Morris Country Club.
    Surviving is his wife Margaret L. Hauge of Sebring, FL. Two sons, Steven (Barbara) Hauge of Raleigh, N.C. and Douglas (Cherry) Hauge of Joliet, IL; one granddaughter, Suzanne Hauge and her fiance Dave Oxley of Joliet, IL.
    Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 8, 2000 at U.C. Davis and Sons Funeral Home Ltd. with Rev. Charles Olson officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Military Graveside services will be conducted by John Martin Steele Post #6049 V.F.W. and Morris American Legion Post #294.
