OBITUARY:
Jeanette Arnett Watson, 96, of Graysville, passed away Saturday March 31, 2012 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born August 10, 1915 in Turman Township to Homer & Judith (Lacey) Arnett. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband William Gaylord Watson whom she married on August 27, 1939. Jeanette graduated from Graysville High School in 1933 as well as Indiana State Teachers College in 1935. She taught many years at Sullivan Central Elementary School. She was a member of the Sullivan Community Historical Society, Sullivan County Retired Teachers Association, Friday Afternoon Club and the Sullivan County Art Guild. Jeanette enjoyed writing poetry, painting and collecting antiques. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday April 3, 2012 at Center Ridge Cemetery with Rev. David Cox officiating. Holmes Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Turman Township Youth Foundation.
