Funeral services for Mr. Comer Jones, 74, of Newcastle were held with Rev. Wendell Vaughn, student of TCU in Fort Worth and pastor of the Archer City First Christian Church officiating.
Mrs. Jones and her husband were married in Decatur in 1894. They lived at Bridgeport until moving to Newcastle in 1910. Jones, a farmer, preceded his wife in death. Since January of 1951, Mrs. Jones made her home with a daughter, Mrs. L.E. Stover of Archer City.
Survivors: two sons: W.P. "Bill" Jones, mayor of Coleman, Luther Jones of Sterling City, CO;
three sisters: Mrs. W.R. Caraway of Fort Worth, Mrs. W.C. Moody and Mrs. W.T. Cox of Newcastle;
two brothers: Richard McDaniel of Bridgeport, Floyd McDaniel of Jacksboro
