According to Suzy Good: "Lucy Ann Stevens married Nicholas Shoop 5 September 1847 in Pennslyvania. She was born about 1825 in Dauphin, Pennslyvania. Nicholas was killed 21 June 1864 at Alexandria, Virginia during the Civil War. He is buried at Arlington National Cemetary, Alexandria, Virginia. Within about eight months their four young children were orphans. They were the parents of Emily Frances, Martha E, Benjamin F, and Alice L."
