Mr. John Andrew Beasley, 55, husband of Mrs. Mattie Crawford Beasley, entered into rest at 6:25 o'clock Tuesday morning, March 13, 1934, at the residence, 1848 Pearl avenue, Augusta, Georgia, after an illness of 12 weeks. Funeral services will be held at the Crawford Avenue Baptist church, of which he was a member, Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock. The Grover F. Tyner, pastor, will officiate and interment will be in West View cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Gordon, Charlie Jones, R.W. McKinney, Burdette McIntosh, Lewis Cato and W.T. Parrish. Mr. Beasley was a native of Columbia county but had lived in Augusta for the past 16 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Fred Prather and Mrs. Liza May Beasley; mother, Mrs. Lula Beasley; two brothers, Jim Beasley and Addie Beasley, both of Dearing, Ga.; five sisters, Mrs. Henry Lewis and Mrs. Mattie Meyer, both of Dearing; Mrs. Clinton Maddox of Appling; Mrs. Mamie Kennedy of Augusta and Mrs. Clinton Phillips of Augusta; six children and several nieces and nephews.
