Mrs. Mary Margaret Parrish, 73, of 624 Comet Street, died Sunday following an illness of a few months. She was a native of Simcoe, Ontario, Canada, and had been a resident of Jacksonville for the past 58 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Willie E. Parrish; four daughters, Mrs. Louise Elbers, Mrs. Wilma Boyle, Mrs. Edith Chadwick and Mrs. Faith Stroble; three sons, Walter E, Willie R and Hiram G Parrish; a sister, Mrs. Erie Belle Ryan, all of Jacksonville; two brothers, Henry Walker, of Flint, Mich. and Walter Walker of Waterford, Ontario; 36 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Hardage and Sons Riverside Funeral Home, 517 Park Street, with the Rev. Henry Tison and Rev. Vernon Peacock, officiating. Pallbearers will be - active, Terry Boyle, Grover Chadwick, David Mattox, Steve Chadwick, Leonard Kelley and James R. Manges; Honorary, John Welborn, Charles Robbin, Delmar Peacock, W. J. Johnson, Johnny Yarbor, and Larry Coleman. Interment in Parrish Cemetery.
