Mrs. Willie Manes Dies After Brief Illness at 82

Mrs. Willie S. Manes, age 82, a resident of 428 Western Ave., Winchester, died early this morning after a brief illness. Mrs. Manes had lived in Winchester for 33 years, coming here from Kentucky. She was the widow of William Manes, who died in 1955.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ollie Spiers, Hamilton, O., Mrs. Beulah Helms, Clearwater, Fla., Mrs. Myrtle Miller, Franklin, O.; five sons, Burley Guthrie, Winchester, Bert Guthrie, Hebron, O., Steve Guthrie, Union City, Red Guthrie, Berea, Ky., and Howard Guthrie, Bethel, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Mary McCollum, Winchester; three brothers, Harrison Durham, Union City, Bert Durham, Muncie and John Durham, Oakland, Calif.; 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Manes will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Fraze funeral home, Winchester, in charge of Rev. Joseph Fitch. Burial will be in White River cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.
