HOT SPRINGS, Ark.-Albert (Al) E. Berg, Jr., 72, passed away Nov. 13 at St. Joseph Hospital in Hot Springs.
He was a resident of Stambaugh, having graduated with the Stambaugh High School Class of 1948, and later attended Houghton Technological University [Michigan Technological University]. He was a frequent visitor to the Iron River area.
He was the loving husband of Alice (Michaud), dearest father of Robert W. (Marie) Berg, Chicago Heights, Albert E. III (Yuni) (Linda) Berg, Munster, Ind., David A. (Debbie) Berg, Chicago Heights and Richard J. (MaryLou) Berg, Homewood, Ill., fond grandfather of Brian, Scott, Ricky, Robbie, Justin, Ryan and Alysa.
He was an Air Force veteran, a former member of the Olympia Fields Country Club, he was CEO of A.E. Gerg Co., Inc. for many years.
Services were held on Nov. 18 at the Kerr-Parzygnot Funeral Home in Chicago Heights. Interment was at Oakland Memorial Lanes in Dolton, Ill.
