COOKEVILLE - Funeral services for Edgar F. Chaffin, 78, of Cookeville will be conducted Saturday, November 10, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Smith's Chapel Cemetery in Putnam County.
Mr. Chaffin died Thursday, November 8, 1990, in Jackson County Hospital following an extended illness.
Born September 30, 1912 in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Johnnie and Ella Bean Chaffin.
Mr. Chaffin was a retired farmer and a member of Zion Church of Christ in Jackson County.
His family includes 3 brothers, Evertt, Ben and Howard Chaffin, all of Cookeville; 2 sisters, Ethel Phillips of Warren, Michigan and Naomia Roberts of Cookeville.
Mr. Chaffin was preceded in death by his wife, Savannah Kinnaired Chaffin.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
