Funeral services for Mr. John Q. Burnham, age 72 of Dubach will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, April 9, 2010 at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston with Rev. Connie Smith and Rev. Barry Joyner officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Chapel Cemetery in Hico under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.
Mr. Burnham was born October 2, 1937 to Harold James Burnham and Neva Dell Alexander Burnham. He died April 6, 2010 in Ruston. He was a veteran who served in the US Navy. On June 27, 1959, he married Annette Beckham and they were married for 47 years until her death. In his professional life, Mr. Burnham worked in the oilfield and was the owner of Burnham Casing Service. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and his yard projects. He dearly loved all of his employees and the caregivers that he has had over the years.
Mr. Burnham is survived by his sons: John Randall Burnham and wife Robbie, James Harold Burnham and Jeremy Garland Burnham and wife April all of Hico; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers: Harold Eugene Burnham and wife Annis of Farmerville and Dayton Burnham of Ruston; one sister: Sue Jordan of Dallas, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Annette Beckham Burnham, his parents, and his great granddaughter Makaylee Denise Burnham.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Ruston from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
