Funeral services for Mrs. Nettie McDaniel were held at the chapel of the Barkley Funeral home in Canton Thursday, March 31, with the Rev. David Charter in charge. Pall bearers were Hilburn Fishback, Melven Gruber, Hilborn Bader, Ernest Lillard, Raymond Parker, and Albert Fishback. Burial was in Zion Hill cemetery. Mrs. McDaniel died March 22, in Frankfurt, Germany, where she had gone to make her home with her daughter and family, Capt. and Mrs. James L. Sheasley. Nettie Amelia McGuire McDaniel, the daughter of Jesse and Mary McGuire, was born at Clark City, Mo., on August 25, 1892. She was united in marriage to Jeptha Fielden McDaniel, at Kahoka on February 1, 1911. To this union four children were born. She and her husband farmed for many years. Mrs. McDaniel was a member of the Williamstown Methodist church. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Sheasley; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Harry and Allan; and a daughter, Mary Eileen.
