John William Butler, the son of Herbert S. Butler and Shirley (marble) Butler, was born February 21, 1955 in Iowa City, Iowa. He received his early education in Spencer attending Jefferson Elemetery and graduating from Spencer High School in 1974.
After graduation, John worked for Spencer Ready MIx, Adams Trucking Company and for many years he worked for Kardell Trucking Company. John loved to watch NASCAR races and football.
John passed away at his residence, Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at the age of 48. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and one nephew.
Left to cherish his memory is his brother, Hertbert R. Butler, of Spencer, Iowa; three sisters: Wanda A. Brausey of Norfolk, Nebraska, Connie E Butler of Spencer, Iowa and Fayette K Butler of Rock Rapids, Iowa; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
