Ardeth A. Birch, 86, died Saturday, October 7, 200 at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Jasper County, Illinois (December 3, 1913) and lived in Round Lake, IL for many years before moving to Church Hill, TN in 1979; and then recently to Kingsport. He retired from Johns-Manville Corporation, Waukegan, IL in 1974. Mr. Birch was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie (Pursell) Birch (May 30, 2000); a son, Ronald Duane Birch; his parents, Lawrence and Dessie Birch; four brothers, Glen, Mavin, Orvin and Delbert Birch.
Surviving are three sons, Pastor David Birch, Front Royal, VA, Donald Birch, Garry Birch, both of Kinsport; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
Calling hours 6:00-8:00PM, Tuesday at Oak Hill Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 11:00AM at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Mark Dance and Rev. David Birch officiating.
Memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Mission, GHANA, P.O. Box 1950, Front Royal, VA 22630. This will be to aid Ghannian Bible School Students.
