Harold James Helt, 61, Scipio R1, who has several cousins and other relatives in this area, died suddenly at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon from the Dowd Funeral Hoe at North Vernon, with the Rev. Earl Wolfinger and the Rev. Robert Burkman in charge. Burial in Scipio Cemetery.

Mr. Helt was born on June 27, 1903, in Jennings County, the son of the late Etta Tinder Helt. He was married to Grace Wilkerson, who survives.
Mr. Helt was a native of Jennings County. He had been employed at Cummins Engine Co. in Columbus for the past 22 years.
Surviving besides his widow are one daughter, Mrs. Yvonne Carson, of Elizabethtown R1; one brother, Clarence Bernie Helt, of Columbus; and three grandchildren.
