Service for J. Wayne Joyce, 82, of Sunset were to be held Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 2 p.m. at the Coker Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bill Cleveland was to officiate, assisted by Wayne Wood. Burial was to be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Montague County.
Joyce died Nov. 19, 2001, in Sunset.
Born May 3, 1919, he founded Joyce Engraving Co. in 1955, which is still a family-owned and operated business. He married Helen June Mathers in Fort Worth on Oct. 29, 1939, and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Alvord and a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Helen June Joyce; two sons, Randy Joyce and Ricky Joyce, both of Irving; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
