Bradford was the son of Henry Robert and Sallie (Cline) Bangle. He married Mary Ethel Rudisill and they were the parents of three children: James Henry, Mary Joe and Carol Jean.

Bradford Henry Bangle, 98, died in Newton, N.C., on Monday, April 5, 2010. He was born July 9, 1911 in Lincoln County to the late Henry Robert and Sallie Cline Bangle. He worked as a district manager in propane sales. Survivors include a son, James H. Bangle and wife, Jo, of Marion; two daughters, Mary Jo Johnson and husband, Archie, of Morganton, N.C., and Carol Porter and husband, George, of Hickory, N.C.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Dennis Hacker officiating. Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Christian Ministries of Lincoln County, P.O. Box 423, Lincolnton, N.C. 28093. Warlick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
