W. C. BYBEE DIES; FORMERLY AGENT AT CLIFTON STATION
CLIFTON HILL
William Colby Bybee, 72, retired telegraph agent at the Clifton Hill Wabash station, died about 1:30 o'clock this morning at his home in Clifton Hill.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Curtis Mayo, Clifton Hill; a son Charles Bybee, Sheffield, Mass.; two sisters, Mrs. George Brunk, Longview, Wash., and Mrs. Meredith Kerr, Prairie; two brothers, Ed Bybee, Seattle, and John Bybee, Raytown; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Bybee was employed by the Wabash Railroad Co., 43 years with 23 years spent at the Clifton Hill station. He retired about six years ago. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Clifton, which he had served as a deacon and Sunday School superintendent and teacher. He also was a member of the Clifton Hill Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star.
The body was taken to the home this afternoon from the Patton Funeral Home in Huntsville. Services will be heldd at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the Baptist Church by the pastor, Howard D. James, and burial will be in Oakland cemetery in Moberly. A Masonic funeral service also will be held.
