Edison Dee Child
(1941 - 2010)
Edison Dee Child passed away Easter Sunday, April 4, 2010.
Dee was born in Ogden, Utah Nov. 26, 1941, to Andrew Edison and Marion Geiger Child. His family moved to Nyssa, Ore., in 1947. Dee met Helen Gay Goodrich while attending USU. They were married and sealed as an eternal family in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple, Sept. 15, 1964.
They raised their nine children in Oregon, Nevada, and Jerome and Caldwell. Dee was involved in farming and real estate for most of his life.
Dee and Gay have nine children, Grayson and Malinda, Logan and Dawn, Celeste and Randy Bickham, Jordan and Shannon, Clinton and Kendra, Stephanie and Jason Nielsen, Corinne and Enoch Dahle, Cameron and Tom Waqa, Sierra and Scott De Burgh, and 33-and-counting grandchildren.
He is also survived by his mother, Marion and four brothers, Andrew, Bruce, Fred, and Tim.
Dee had a great love and desire to protect our God-given personal freedoms and liberties.
Our husband, father and grandfather is a wise and gentle man, known for his integrity, kindness, and generosity to everyone. He gave his all for his family and we love him for it.
His funeral will be April 8, at 11 a.m. at the LDS Chapel at 3015 S. Kimball, Caldwell.
