She married Daniel Feninel McElveen on February 26, 1873 in Suwannee County. They were the parents of 6 children: Andrew Laspyre "Bud" McElveen; Caroline Estelle McElveen; John Windfield McElveen; Daniel Willard "D.W." McElveen; Infant Daughter McElveen; and Jason Thomas "Jace" McElveen. The two daughters died young while the four sons reached adulthood and had families of their own. The widowed Mint died at the age of 82 in Lacoochee, Pasco County at the home of her youngest son, Jason Thomas "Jace" McElveen.
